In late August/early September, the B&B forest fire swept over Minto Pass (just between Mt Jefferson and Three Fingered Jack), burning much of the Mt Jefferson Wilderness Area.

The East face of Three Fingered Jack (anything but green is the burn area)

A view from the top of Red Butte looking across at Three Fingered Jack (partly in the clouds) and Hoodoo Butte on the right:

An on-the-ground view of the burn.  There are many small seedlings, bear grass, and other wild flowers already coming up.  And many tasty morels!!!

Looking west from the top of Red Butte you can see an entire basin that burned very HOT!

Looking out over Mowhich Lake and Duffy Butte, you can see the burn on the Butte.  The eastern edge of Mowhich also burnt, as seen below:

Mowhich with Maxwell Butte behind.

The burn around Jorn lake - even the little island in the middle burnt completely.
