Enzymes

Perhaps the most important function of proteins in the body is performed by the class of proteins known as enzymes. Their purpose is basically to catalyze the various reactions that must occur within the body.

In this section we will first look at the general characteristics of enzymes, then look at enzyme function, followed by enzyme inhibition.
