Water

One of the simplest and most important of the molecules involved in the life process is not an organic molecule at all. It is water.

In this section we will consider the properties of water that make it so important to living things. We will look at its role as a solvent and as an acid-base medium. We will look at some of its important thermal properties. We will then discuss some of the effects of water loss in humans.
