Ketones
In this section we'll deal with the compounds formed by the oxidation of secondary alcohols -- ketones. What kind of compounds are these ketones? We will take a look at their structure and properties, deal with naming them, study how they are formed and what reactions they undergo, and, of course, you will work with them in the lab.
