This is the second of our three lessons on acids and bases.  It is written using Authorware.  To view it, you must either have installed the Authorware plug-in to your browser (see the Orientation page of the course introduction) or you must download the Authorware modules to your hard drive.  The downloadable files are available on the Authorware Download page for this lesson.

The experiment for this lesson is one of the more time-consuming experiments this term.  You need to make sure that you have read the procedure before you begin.  (Of course, you should be doing that for every lesson.)  This experiment takes approximately 2 hours to complete; although it may take more time if you are not prepared when you begin or if you are not being careful as you do the procedure.  It works best if you allow enough time to complete the entire experiment in one sitting.  You will be graded on accuracy this week - so be patient and careful.

Answers to exercises in the workbook and to the self quiz are available on the Answer page, which is accessible from the Wrap-up page.
