Ionic Bonding
| You know what happens during ionic bonding; opposite electric
charges attract one another. The oppositely charged cations and anions are attracted
to one another because of their opposite charges. That attraction is called an ionic
bond. |
 |
When we name ionic compounds we name each ion separately and then combine
them to get the name of the compound.
